R - C Summer Camp Registration
You may have heard members of our pack mention R - C (pronounced "R bar
C") summer camp for scouts. Every summer, the Grand Canyon Council
offers 5 camping sessions at this council-owned camp east of Payson. For many, time spent together at R - C has become some of their strongest memories of scouting.
Registration for R-C summer camp is open. The registration form, with more details, is available here:
When registering, note that we are pack 618 from the "Four Peaks" district. You should use our Committee Chairman ("Brett Carlson") as the pack contact. Also, when registering, your scout will have advanced in rank. If he's a Tiger now, he'll be a Wolf at R-C, etc. If you register, please let Paul Kaiser know so that he can include you in future emails on the topic. And please don't hesitate to contact him with any questions you might have.

National Unity Flag and 9/11 Tribute - Sep 15th
The Wolf Den will be participating in an exciting event as part of obtaining their Wolf Badges.
A couple of weeks ago, Rich Hoey met the designer of the National Unity Flag (Randy Cooney) while attending a Real Estate Broker class. As it turns out, the National Unity Flag will be on display at the Scottsdale Center of Performing Arts Atrium and he arranged a time for our Pack 618 Scouts to meet the designer in person.
Randy Cooney has agreed to do a special presentation for the Scouts and Families of Pack 618 which will be a great teaching moment. There is a also a 9/11 exhibit displaying a Memorial Wall with 2,996 full-color memorial cards with biographical information and a photograph of each of the fallen victims all of which is free and open to the public.
